The context
Full circle, on his own name
In June 2024, Olamide announced he'd completed Ikigai, a seven-track project — a quieter, more reflective release than the eras before it. The EP dropped days later, on 26 June 2024.
In 2025 came the album that gives this era its name: Olamidé, self-titled, arriving fourteen years after a debut that needed a young Wizkid's hook to cross over. This time, "Kai!" reunites the two of them — no longer an upstart borrowing a rising star's shine, but two established names meeting as peers. "99," with Daecolm, Asake, Seyi Vibez and Young Jonn, keeps the label's second generation in the frame.

By year's end it's TurnTable Charts' eighth-biggest Nigerian album of 2025, with 148.5 million streams and three weeks at No. 1.
