YBNL MaFia Family
Not an Olamide album — a label one. Thirteen tracks credited to "YBNL MaFia Family," released 14 December 2018, with the boss appearing as a featured artist on his own imprint's record. It remains YBNL Nation's only group project.
The timing is the whole argument. Olamide had spent 2018 on loose singles rather than a solo album, and in a single October week he signed Picazo Rhap, Yomi Blaze and — hours later — Fireboy DML. Eight weeks after that, this arrived: a bench introduction dressed as a compilation, padded with two of the year's own hits ("Motigbana," "Poverty Die") so the new names had something to arrive next to.
Reviews were lukewarm and the album never became canon. What it did was put "Jealous" into the world — Fireboy DML's first released record, a sleeper that got re-released as his debut single three months later and went on to define the label's next decade. The compilation nobody remembers is the reason the roster does.
